Web-based Resources

http://www.smsu-xa.org/
The Chi Alpha ministry at Southwest Missouri State University. Effectively reaching and discipling postmoderns. Their “Resources” page is the class of the league for campus ministry, and probably for lots of other ministries too. Check out the links for Multimedia.

http://www.ivyjungle.org/index2.html
A “must have” resource for campus ministry. A good site, but an even better monthly E-mail newsletter.

http://reachtheu.com/
Site for Chi Alpha, the Assemblies of God ministry to secular campuses. Lots of articles, annotated links, and information on XA’s outstanding conferences. Solid all around. Class of the league.

http://www.ivcf.org/
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is a trans-denominational ministry to secular campuses. Heavy on the apologetics area. Currently developing the concept of campus ministries at “witnessing communities.”

http://www.ccci.org/
Campus Crusade for Christ’s site. These guys have come a long way. Worldlinc encourages students to begin ministries in situ.

http://whichcircle.com/index.html
A site that celebrates “Truth, Beauty, & the Absurdity of Christian Campus Ministry.” Cartoon based critique, mostly aimed at Campus Crusade. Creative, not for the faint-hearted, but lots of arguments you’ve heard before, mostly about Christianity as a journey, rather than a crisis experience, etc.

Off-Road Disciplines

In Off-Road Disciplines, Earl Creps reveals that the on-road practices of prayer and Bible reading should be bolstered by the other kinds of encounters with God that occur unexpectedly—complete with the bumps and bruises that happen when you go “off-road.”
